We are really excited to have finished the patterns for the Beanie hat and matching wrist warmers. We named the design ‘Kotipolku’ which means ‘the path home’ in Finnish.

These gorgeous Easter Chicks were created during the needle felting workshop at the Fabulous Made in Greenwich shop. I can not think of a better way to wish you Happy Easter!
A date for your diary! Our fabulous Finnish Art Group is having a joint exhibition to celebrate their 30th anniversary this November in Coningsby Gallery in central London. I am very excited to take part of this exhibition and look forward to see you there.
Join us for a fun and festive Christmas bauble felting workshop. In this workshop we will combine basic needle and wet felting techniques with simple stitching skills to create two beautiful decorations for you to take home.
This 3 hour session will take you from design to creation. I will guide you through the materials and tools needed and show you step by step processes to create unique pieces of decorations.
This workshop is suitable for all levels. You don't need previous experience just some enthusiasm to learn a new skill. All materials and tools are provided. Not suitable for the children as the felting needles are very sharp.
This is a small group session. Maximum of 6 participants in order to allow plenty of time for one to one attention and being flexible to the participants needs.
This workshop will take place in Made in Greenwich. It is a gift shop and a local artist co-operative run by a non-profit organisation GCDA . The shop is open during the workshop so there is a great chance for some early Christmas shopping.

I am finally back at the studio and ready to start to work again. I have really missed my little creative space. During the lockdown(s) I have had plenty of time to learn new skills and experiment various craft techniques. Few months back I stumbled across photo embroidery and got hooked immediately. Such a wonderful and personal way to enhance photographic memories.
I have created a photo embroidery kit for you to try as well and it will available for you to purchase by the end of this month. I will give you a shout out on social media upon arrival...
It has been an exciting start for the 2020. I have become an official member of the Finnish Art Group in London and will take part on two joint exhibitions with them later this year. More information will follow soon.
I am also thrilled to announce that you can now purchase my work in ‘Made in Greenwich’. A wonderful little shop in Greenwich that sell beautiful and exclusive work and food items made by the local artists and makers. Few of my creations are already available in the shop and more is to come in mid February. Visit to find out more!
Festive season is once again upon us. This is a busy time for the craft lovers as various festivities from Halloween to Diwali and most of all Christmas, will get our creativity going. The shortening days invite us to curl up on a sofa with a craft project and hot drink. Sounds like heaven to me and I reckon that there are many likeminded craft enthusiasts around who feel the same.
For someone who loves both crafts and Christmas, the preparations for the Festive Fairs are the highlight of my working year. The process starts in early spring with registrations and applications for the various events. I start making my products in early summer and keep going until the events are upon us. The actual fairs are just a pinnacle of long hours of crafting and other preparations, but they start the festivities and put me in the Christmas spirit. For this Autumn’s events I have made many lovely new products including nursery decorations, felting kits and always popular needle felted animal figurines. Come and have a look and say hello. You will find me in the following events:
The Finnish church organises its annual Christmas fair at the end of November and during the weekend it spreads onto Albion Street and merges with the Scandinavian Christmas market. I will have my table inside the Finnish church on Fri-Sun (22nd - 24th November). This is a very busy event so reserve plenty of time and patience to look around.

London is a fabulous and vibrant city full of opportunities and places to visit. I feel very lucky to call this city my home. But like anywhere else, everyday life often takes over and we tend to forget about the greatness on our doorsteps. This is why I was particularly pleased to receive post from Meda. She bought a little Mouse Fairy from me just before Christmas and named her Milly. Together they have been exploring the famous sites in London and Meda kindly wanted to share some of the photos from their adventures. They are fabulous images and make me think that it is certainly time for another outing in this great city…
Thank you Meda and keep exploring!
There is a chill in the air to signify Summer is really over. With crispy mornings and evenings drawing in, it is time to find those knitting needles, balls of wool and other crafting accessories. The Festive Season is just around the corner, let the preparations begin!
Last Saturday we had our first workshop of this Autumn. A wonderfully talented group came together to make needle felted Autumn wreaths. It was a morning of great fun, colourful wool and busy felting needles. Many of them had no previous felting experience but you could never tell by looking at the end results! It was fascinating to follow how simple polystyrene rings turned into beautiful, individual pieces of Art. Our youngest participant was only eight years old. She worked under her Mum’s watchful eye, but very little supervision was needed as her needle control was already very impressive.
We are back from our travels and look forward to the new season. It has been a very hot summer both here in the UK and in Finland where we spent some time in July. I took a big stash of wool with me to Finland with an intention to finish a few projects and perhaps to come up with some new ones. It all returned back to London untouched, the heat simply got the best of me. Despite the slight frustration, this 'heat break' seemed to have served me well. The last few weeks have been very productive and there will be new items available on our online shop by mid September. This autumn will be a busy one, we will soon be in full swing preparing for our felting workshops. The first one is already at the end of September, making autumn wreaths. It will be followed by a new workshop for the families, painting with wool. You can find more information about these and the other workshops on our website. At present there are still some places available on all of them. We are also very excited to announce that Bless This Mess will be attending a few craft fairs and local markets here in Southeast London before Christmas. Until now we have mainly worked in the studio with small groups and functioned online. It will be exciting to come out to the big world and meet all of you in person! More information about the venues and dates will follow soon. But before entirely focusing on the new season I would like to share few summer memories with you...
See you soon!
