String lights are not just for Christmas! They can bring light into dark winters days and magic into the patios and gardens during the summer months. Join us to customise your own string of lights using wet felting method. As the name suggests wet felting involves warm soapy water and plenty of rolling and rubbing until the wool becomes firmer. During this workshop you will learn how make flat felt and a simple 3D felt using a resist.

This workshop is suitable for all levels. After an introduction to basic wet felting technique, you can work at your own pace and skill level.

Maximum of 4 participants per session in order to allow plenty of time for one to one attention as well as being flexible to the participants needs. 

All necessary material supplied as well as coffee, tea and biscuits.

Thames Side Studios are located by River Thames near Woolwich in Southeast London. 
Free parking on site. 
Frequent bus services run from North Greenwich Underground station ( buses 472 or 161 towards Woolwich stop at Yateley Street or Warspite Road) or from Woolwich Arsenal DLR Station (161, 180, 177 or 472 towards North Greenwich or Lewisham Station stop at Warspite Road). There is approximately 5 min walk from the bus stop to the studios by the river.
